Overview

Veris is an ASX company and market leader in town planning, urban design, surveying and geospatial services around Australia.

Business Challenge

The company recently rebranded to Veris and consolidated its subsidiary businesses into one entity. As part of this process it looked to improve its management reports, to more effectively monitor the performance of the new organisation.

Improvements included removing the need for manual refreshing of data, quicker access to information and sharing of applicable data to key users across the organisation.

How Access Analytic Helped

We worked with senior managers to clarify the company’s reporting requirements use this as the basis for building a new suite of reports across the company.

We used Power BI to connect directly to the company’s ERP system and online databases to extract both financial and non-financial data. We then designed a range of interactive reports and dashboards that allowed for quick slicing of the data by region, customer, job and date, as well as many other fields.

The reports were published to PowerBI.com and then securely shared across the organisation by embedding them within a custom-designed SharePoint site, accessible only to Veris employees according to their access privileges.
