Sort Control

How can I sort in a specific order that isn’t alphabetic or numeric?

By Neale Blackwood

Excel has a feature called custom list. To access this feature click the tools menu, then click options and select the customs list tab. This holds Excel’s built-in lists.
You can add your own list. You can either type in the list in the “list entries” or copy it from a range in Excel.
Once you have created a custom list, you can use it to sort. To sort by a custom list click the data menu, click sort, then click the options button and select your custom list from the drop down list.
